Even if you do, we assume that you wouldn’t want to put your health at stake eating unhealthy food on a daily basis. To help you save a good amount of money and please even the savviest diners, we’ve put up a list of delectable meals you can prepare in only 30 minutes. Let’s get started:

 

1. Curd Rice 

With curd rice, very little can actually go wrong. It is also a common food in India, and there is nothing more cosy than holding a bowl of fluffy rice in your hands. Add some papads or pickles to the rice. There are also more varieties that Indians enjoy serving with their curd rice. While some choose to add a tadka to their rice, others prefer to add shredded cucumbers or small bits of freshly minced garlic. We guarantee that each type is equally calming and satisfying. Here’s how you prepare it:

Ingredients for Curd Rice Recipe

  • Rice
  • Yogurt
  • Milk
  • Cumin seeds
  • Green and red chillies
  • Curry leaves
  • Urad dal and Hing
  • Food cream
  • Carrots & cucumbers for garnishing

Here’s how you prepare curd rice:

  1. Rinse the rice two or three times until the water is clear (removing excess starch), then drain it.
  2. Cook the rice separately and keep it aside,
  3. Combine the yoghurt, coriander leaves, ginger, green chillies, rice and salt and keep it aside,
  4. Take a pan, heat some options, add the mustard seeds, wait until it cracks,
  5. In the next step, add urad dal and sauté well
  6. Add your hing, curry leaves and chillies to the pan. Cook for another 15 seconds,
  7. Pour this into the rice mix and serve it cool

 

2. Cheese schezwan sandwich 

Ingredients that you’ll require for the recipe:

  • Bread
  • Potato stuffing
  • Schezwan sauce
  • Cheese slice
  • Oregano and chilli flakes

Here’s how you make a Cheese schezwan sandwich:

  1. Take two slices of bread, cover one with schezwan Sauce and the other one with regular tomato ketchup,
  2. Put a layer of potato stuffing on the bread,
  3. Put a slice of cheese in between
  4. sprinkle some chilli flakes and oregano on the cheese slice,
  5. Grill the sandwich in a griller or a pan,
  6. Enjoy your delicious cheesy grilled sandwich

 

3. Pizza pockets 

Ingredients that you’ll need to prepare pizza pockets: 

  •  Chopped veggies including, onion, tomato, capsicum
  • Cheese cubes
  • Ready made maida sheets,
  • Red chilli powder, chat Masala, salt, chilli flakes and oregano

Here’s how you prepare delicious pizza pockets, 

  1. Take a bowl, add your chopped veggies,
  2. Add spices and mix well
  3. Take a ready made maida sheet,
  4. Put in the veggies and a cheese cube,
  5.  Roll it like a samosa and
  6. Seal the sides with water,
  7. Deep fry these into crispy pizza pockets.
