PAN Card and Driver’s License will now be available via MyGov Helpdesk on WhatsApp
New Delhi: India DigiLocker documents such as PAN cards, driving licences, and vehicle registration certificates can now be accessed via MyGov’s WhatsApp helpdesk. This was announced by MyGov on Monday. “Citizens will now be able to create and authenticate their DigiLocker account on WhatsApp and access PAN Card, Driving License, CBSE Class X Passed Certificate, Vehicle Registration Certificate (RC), Insurance Policy- Two Wheeler, Class X and You will be able to download documents such as class XII mark sheet and insurance policy documents (life and non-life available on Digilocker,” MyGov said in a statement.
MyGov claims that the change will make “government services accessible, inclusive, transparent, and simple.”
WhatsApp users across the country can access the chatbot by texting ‘Namaste,’ ‘Hi,’ or ‘Digilocker’ to 91 9013151515.
“The offering of DigiLocker services on MyGov Helpdesk is a natural progression and a step towards providing citizens simplified access to essential services through an easy and accessible platform of WhatsApp,” said Abhishek Singh, CEO of MyGov. Digilocker has already registered over 100 million people, and over 5 billion documents have been issued to date. We are confident that by making it digitally empowered, the WhatsApp service will enable millions of people to access authentic documents and information directly from their phones.”

Over 80 million people have contacted the helpline so far, over 33 million vaccine certificates have been downloaded, and thousands of vaccination appointments have been scheduled across the country.
With new features like DigiLocker, MyGov Chatbot on WhatsApp aims to create a comprehensive administrative support system for citizens to access digitally inclusive resources and essential services.
