Facebook and Instagram users faces issue while messaging

Instagram is down: Users worldwide report problems with Facebook Messenger and sending and receiving messages. After being sent, messages have started disappearing.

Instagram is down, according to several complaints from users on multiple social media networks, and both Facebook Messenger and Instagram messaging appear to have a bizarre bug where messages for users vanish after being delivered. When this article was written, the issue with the inbox lasted more than 12 hours. DownDetector, a different independent failure detector, also found an issue after observing large surges in Instagram activity starting last night. Users from all around the world have reported difficulties with the issue, which looks to be global. DownDetector has written about similar problems with Facebook Messenger.

On July 5, the number of reported complaints first began to grow just after 8 p.m. and reached at around 11 p.m., when more than 1200 people reported having issues with Instagram. The issue looked to be improving by 5 a.m. on July 6, but there have been an increasing number of reports that it hasn’t been handled.

Issues with Facebook Messenger and Instagram messaging

Aside from the inbox, the platform functions normally during this partial outage, and no problems have been noted with using the app or viewing the feed. The hashtag #Instagramdown has been popular on Twitter since the bugs appeared. As a response, users have swamped the microblogging network with criticism and amusing memes.

Anyone experiencing the issues with Instagram’s messaging system loading to send messages and refreshing to view messages in direct messages? a Twitter user stated. I assure you that this problem doesn’t only concern me.

It is currently unknown what created the problem and how long it could take to find a lasting cure. Recently, outages have plagued Instagram. There was a significant interruption when users couldn’t use the site to check in, update feeds, or send direct messages on May 25. More than three hours passed before the problem was resolved.
