Mahindra & Mahindra records 100,000 Scorpio-N bookings in 30 minutes
According to the company, the bookings equated to an ex-showroom value of $2.3 billion.

Mahindra & Mahindra achieved 100,000 bookings for the Scorpio-N within 30 minutes of the booking window opening at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, equating to an ex-showroom value of Rs 18,000 crore / nearly $2.3 billion, according to a statement issued today by the firm.
Meanwhile, unable to take advantage of the “introductory pricing” due to a technical glitch that occurred after the booking rush, potential buyers vented their rage and frustration on Mahindra’s social media handle, as well as Anand G Mahindra, chairperson of Mahindra Group, alleging that the company is taking its buyers “for a ride.”

According to the firm, this is the fastest booking received for any automobile model. “Customers’ enthusiasm for the All-New Scorpio-N has been phenomenal – the Scorpio-N recorded 25,000 bookings within one minute of booking launch,” the company claimed.
The Scorpio N beats the record set by the XUV700, which received 100,000 bookings in 57 minutes after it opened for bookings on October 21.
Scorpio N deliveries will begin on September 26, 2022. Over 20,000 units of the All-New Scorpio-N are expected to be delivered by December 2022, with the Z8L version receiving priority. Customers will be notified of their delivery date by the end of August 2022, according to Mahindra.
The booking website handled the massive influx of orders admirably, although there was a small hiccup with the payment gateway provider. In a statement, Mahindra & Mahindra stated that it would like to reassure customers that their time stamp prior to payment was duly recorded on the booking platform, ensuring that each customer has their rightful place in the order sequence and that the first 25,000 will be considered for introductory prices based on this sequence.
The variations’ promotional pricing is only valid for the first 25,000 reservations. The pricing for subsequent reservations will be the same as those in effect at the time of delivery. Mahindra will continue to accept reservations for the cars both online and in outlets.
