Blinkit, which is owned by Zomato, has announced that it will deliver printouts to your door in 11 minutes, which will be useful for both parents and working professionals.
Zomato purchased the 10-minute delivery platform for Rs 4,447 crore (approximately $568 million), and the currency facility is now available in some areas.
“I’ve never had a printer at home, and getting it from a cyber cafe, library, neighbor, or office has always been inconvenient, especially when it’s needed at the last minute,” said Jitesh Goel, Product at Blinkit.
The new platform service arrives as Zomato prepares to experiment with leveraging its customer base for Blinkit and vice versa.
“We will also begin working on integrating the delivery fleet back-ends, which should result in higher delivery efficiency over time,” Zomato Founder and CEO Deepinder Goyal recently stated.
Tech integrations between the two companies will hasten progress on both ends, he added.
According to the company, Blinkit’s losses are decreasing month by month, falling from Rs 2,040 million (about $26 million) in January 2022 to Rs 929 million ($12 million) in July.
According to the company, Blinkit has also closed a number of unviable dark stores that were not scaling, and the team will continue to evaluate non-performing stores.
In just six months, the Blinkit business has grown to 20% of Zomato’s food delivery GOV while only being present in 15 cities.
