Congress’s Kuldeep Bishnoi resigns from Haryana Assembly, to join BJP tomorrow

Kuldeep Bishnoi, a Congress MLA from Haryana, resigned from the Haryana Assembly on Wednesday. On Thursday, he is expected to join the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Kuldeep Bishnoi met Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta and submitted his resignation, accompanied by his wife Renuka Bishnoi and cousin brother Dura Ram.

Kuldeep Bishnoi stated after submitting his resignation, “I have decided to join the BJP in response to public sentiments expressed by my workers in Punjab and Haryana. The current Congress party is not the Indira and Rajiv Gandhi Congress. It has abandoned its ideology. It is on its way out as a result of bad decisions made by Congress across the country.”

Kuldeep Bishnoi praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying he is the best Prime Minister the country has ever had, and that the country has made significant progress under his leadership. He also stated that he is heavily influenced by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar’s thinking, which is why he is joining the BJP.

Kuldeep Bishnoi said that when he will join the Bharatiya Janata Party in Delhi on Thursday, other former MLAs of Haryana will also join him.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep Bishnoi, after quitting as MLA from the Adampur constituency in Haryana, also challenged Bhupinder Singh Hooda to contest and win the seat vacated by him.

On the question of a broken alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party in the past, Kuldeep Bishnoi said that there is “often estrangement in a family too”.
