Reliance to stream AGM on VR platform, 5 social media platforms

As it makes another step toward connecting people digitally for its AGM, Reliance Industries will broadcast its annual shareholder meeting on Monday in parallel on five social media platforms, a virtual reality platform, and television.

In the immersive and interactive 3D world of metaverse on Monday afternoon during the 45th annual general meeting, Reliance Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani will virtually address shareholders, according to sources.

In addition to the official JioMeet broadcast, it will live stream its annual general meeting (AGM) on five of the most popular social media platforms, making it one of the first corporations in the world to do so.

The Reliance AGM virtual reality (VR) platform, which is powered by GMetri, allows a user to interact with the business highlights of the company’s annual report for 2021–2022, virtually walk through a lounge, and explore different virtual rooms.

Businesses can create, share, and track training modules, online shops, product showcases, and immersive tours using the simple, no-code XR platform GMetri.

Augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), mixed reality (MR), and everything in between are all included under the term “Extended Reality” (XR).

According to sources, anyone can enjoy the immersive experience on commonly used mobile or desktop screens, though specialised 3D VR eyewear can greatly enhance the experience.

Additionally, Reliance will be adding Instagram and Koo to its list of digital channels to broadcast its AGM live to digital viewers this year. On Monday at 1400 hours, it will be broadcast live on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, according to them.

For its 45th AGM, Reliance has also activated its 7977111111 WhatsApp Chatbot so that anyone can easily find out the dates, procedures, and other details surrounding the AGM.

The chatbot, which can be accessed by sending a simple “hi” message to the provided number, assists users in finding information such as the date and time of the AGM, instructions for watching it live, the process for voting or asking questions, etc.

They added that since all of this takes place in the comfortable WhatsApp environment, it encourages greater user engagement. At the time of the previous AGM in June 2021, the chatbot successfully and accurately answered over a lakh questions.
