Arsenal's lead at the top of the Premier League was reduced to two points when they were held to a 1-1 draw away to Southampton.

Defending champions Manchester City brushed aside Southampton 4-0 to move to the top of the Premier League table -- at least for 24 hours as Arsenal will play Liverpool on Sunday.

Southampton's defenders will have to steel themselves later on Saturday for their visit to Manchester City's Etihad Stadium, because although they know the threat waiting for them, nobody has been able to stop it so far.
