Brazilian football legend Pele will spend the festive season in hospital as he fights advancing cancer, doctors and his family confirmed.

Football legend Pele is showing signs of improvement from a respiratory infection but remains in hospital with no forecast for when he could be discharged, doctors treating him said on Monday.
