For a Country which is trapped in Hindu, Muslim and upper caste altercation, it is really a pity that a blunder made by Government of India has hurled 10 million children under the acute risk of Poliovirus. Same polio has had paralyzed the 50 thousand children in a single year, afterward Polio eradication campaign was started. In the year 2014, WHO even declared, India to be a Polio free nation, it was a proclamation of a long fight against Polio.
But the diligence appears to be going in vain, the nation to which the whole world is watching with the aspiration of a candidate of youngest country, how can the same country be so irresponsible towards its most precious asset, that the drugs that are spread to eradicate polio is only affected by the virus that promotes polio and same medicines is being ingested by innocents without any inspection.
Not only this, shocking truth has been revealed when the presence of Polio 2 has been confirmed in the children. But the further truth which is even more frightening is that after receiving the samples of affected children in Varanasi, Mirzapur, Ghazipur, Mau, Allahabad, Jaunpur, Agra, Aligarh, Moradabad, Meerut, and Uttar Pradesh, and getting the same confirmation from the Central Laboratory, the Center had announced to stop the spread of vaccination on September 10, despite this, vaccine reached UP, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana, Telangana, Maharashtra affecting 10 million children of 10 states.
After September 10 directive, on October 3 center had to issue the orders again, you can now imagine condition the system of our country. The Ministry of Health may argue in its defense that the virus is of weak nature and there is no threat to it. But due to the devastating laxity, the way consignment of this virus drug has reached to children without investigation, what is the guarantee that no more infected drug will reach the children in the same way?
The virus that was destroyed in 2016 and there were instructions from the lab to finish it, so how are these viruses left in the company’s lab? Obviously, even then the instructions were taken so seriously as much as the instruction of 10th September was taken. The investigation is going on but similar to this many investigations are still going on in the country. But this truth has really scared till the inner core, that whether the person trusting the system will be cheated in the end and in its grip will also be innocent who are viewed as the future of the country. Regrettably, the one who promises to make the future of the country is not only aware of the country’s future. It’s time to wake up.
