The successes and losses…hours of hard effort and restless nights following crushing defeats??? But it provides you so much in return that not many other ‘jobs’ can, and for that I will be always grateful??? The tears and joy, the battle and the effort… the work we put in will all be worth it in the end..it wasn’t meant to be this time @wimbledon, but you have been nothing short of spectacular??? Over the previous 20 years, it has been a pleasure to play and win here…I shall miss you???
Until the next time we meet….” Sania shared a photo on Instagram.

Sania spoke to the press after announcing her intention to retirement at the end of this year.
“I’m experiencing the same emotions. I think it came as a bit of a surprise to everyone, and I subsequently admitted that I should not have announced it (about retiring at the conclusion of this season) so soon and should have done so closer to the end of the year since everyone became extremely emotional “According to Sania,
“I received so many comments, and tennis has always been a big part of my life.” I’m grateful for the moments and successes I’ve had. “I plan to close by the end of the year, and I’m all in, and it’ll be a long year,” Sania added.
