Concerning the multi-sports event, Zareen remarked that many people expected her to win a medal in the CWG 2022, which she won with a fantastic 5:0 score.

“I’m ecstatic to have earned gold for my country. This was my next significant competition after the World Championships; many expected me to win Gold here as well, therefore I am pleased “She stated.

The gold medallist noted that she grew emotional when the national anthem was played, and she is certain that she will do well in the upcoming events.

“I can’t express how moving and emotional that moment (during the National Anthem) was for me. I aim to continue putting on such shows and make my nation proud “Zareen said.

The Indian world boxing champion was off to a solid start in the battle. Carly did an excellent job in the first round. Nikhat, on the other hand, capitalised on her strengths and maintained a little advantage over her opponent, compelling all five judges to vote in her favour at the end of the first round.
