KL Rahul, who had surgery in Germany for a sports hernia, has begun training at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
A video of Team India vice-captain Rahul Dravid facing Jhulan Goswami in the nets at Bengaluru’s National Cricket Academy is becoming popular on social media. Jhulan Goswami, like Rahul, is attempting to make a comeback into the Indian team after being sidelined for the just finished Sri Lanka trip.
Rahul can be seen in the video clip dealing with two deliveries from Goswami. The first was longer on the stumps, while the second was shorter outside the off stump.
KL Rahul’s place in India’s squad is conditional on his fitness. KL Rahul’s comeback from injury will be critical as India looks to secure top-order positions.
Rahul led the new Lucknow Super Giants to the IPL 2022 playoffs, finishing as the competition’s second-highest run-getter with 616 runs in 15 innings at an average of 51.33 and a strike rate of 135.38.
He was dropped out of the team a day before the T20I series against South Africa, citing “a right groyne ailment,” according to the BCCI. After regular captain Rohit Sharma, as well as Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah, were rested for the series, Rahul was chosen captain. After Rahul had to withdraw, Rishabh Pant was chosen captain as the series finished 2-2, with the final match resulting in a no-result.
