Muhammad Rizwan praised Pujara; said Indo-Pak cricketers need to play against each other
Muhammad Rizwan, a Pakistani cricketer, has said that Pakistani and Indian cricketers desire to play against each other.
Although the two neighbors have met in recent ICC competitions, they haven’t played a bilateral series in almost a decade. The ODI series between Pakistan and India finished in a 2-1 draw, while the T20I series ended in a 1-1 draw.
Rizwan, a Pakistani wicketkeeper-batter, remarked to the media ahead of the ODI series against the West Indies:
Cricketers from Pakistan and India desire to play against each other, but players have no power over state-level affairs.
Due to political tensions between India and Pakistan, Pakistani players are not permitted to compete in the IPL.
The 30-year-old also praised Virat Kohli in a recent interview with Cricwick, saying:
“Virat Kohli is a world-class cricketer, but he is now going through a difficult phase.” We can only hope for the best for him as a cricketer. He is a dedicated worker who holds himself to high standards. It’s normal for any player to go through a phase like this. There are good times and bad moments in everyone’s life. Every good player who has struck a century has also been out for a duck. This is how life works. Simultaneously, I am hopeful thrt he will be able to regain control of the situat with his hard effortion.
The ODI series against West Indies, which begins on June 8th in Multan, is Pakistan’s next international game.
