Mithali Raj’s retirement from international cricket has sparked a storm of emotions on Twitter

Mithali Raj, one of India’s greatest female cricketers, announced her retirement from all forms of the game on Wednesday. She wants to close the chapter in her life and start a new one, according to the renowned cricketer who became synonymous with women’s cricket.

Indian cricket supporters expressed their emotions in a variety of ways when one of the oldest women’s cricketers retired. Some felt Raj’s unselfish devotion would be missed, while others wished her well in her retirement. A few people even referred to Mithali Raj as “The Greatest of All Time” because of the number of accomplishments she had throughout the course of her 22-year career.

Not just supporters but everyone linked with cricket, and Mithali Raj thanked Raj for her services to Indian cricket in some way. Dinesh Karthik, an Indian men’s cricketer, also sent out a special tweet to Raj, wishing her well in her future undertakings. “In India, Mithali Raj’s name has become associated with women’s cricket. You have inspired millions of people all across the world. “Best wishes for your future pursuits,” Karthik tweeted.

The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) reacted as well, thanking Mithali for her contributions. “You have made a tremendous contribution to Indian cricket.” @M_Raj03, congrats on a fantastic career. You leave a lasting legacy. We wish you all the very best for your second innings,” tweet by BCCI.
