IND vs ENG Yuzvendra Chahal makes history by recording the greatest ODI numbers by an Indian bowler at Lord’s

Yuzvendra Chahal took 4/47 in his 10 overs against England in the second ODI.

England were humiliated by India in the first ODI, being bowled for 110, their lowest record ODI total against the Men in Blue. As a consequence, India won by ten wickets. In the second ODI, the Indian bowlers knocked out England for the second time, this time for 246. Yuzvendra Chahal was the wrecker-in-chief this time.

Chahal struck with the fourth ball of his second over. He duped the dangerous Jonny Bairstow, who was appearing in fine form on 38, with a classic leg spin delivery to knock over his stumps. Yuzvendra Chahal then took another crucial wicket, dismissing Joe Root for 11 runs via an LBW.

The leg-second spinner’s victim was England’s Test skipper Ben Stokes, who was batting on 21 from 23 balls and looked in excellent form. The leg-spinner also trapped him in front of the stumps. Moeen Ali was Chahal’s final victim, as he was on his way to a half-century but was caught by the leg-spinner for 47.

Yuzvendra Chahal finished his ten overs with figures of 4/47. As a result, he set the record for the greatest ODI stats by an Indian bowler at the hallowed Lord’s Cricket Ground. He beat the 39-year-old record held by Mohinder Amarnath. In the 1983 World Cup final, the all-rounder scored 3/12 against West Indies, helping them to win the competition for the first time. He is also the first Indian bowler to capture four wickets in an ODI at the legendary stadium.
