“Arjun Tendulkar needs to strengthen his batting and fielding”: Shane bond

Former New Zealand paceman Shane Bond says that Arjun Tendulkar needs to put in much effort and hard work to improve his batting and fielding.
The Mumbai Indians bought Arjun for Rs 30 lakh in the mega auctions of 2022, but the 22-year-old left-arm spinner did not play a single match. In 2022, Arjun was in his second year with the MI organization, but he hadn’t yet had the opportunity to play in the lucrative league.
The Mumbai Indians had an unforgettable season in the Indian Premier League in 2022. For the first time in 15 years, Mumbai finished last in the league standings, winning only four of their 14 games. Out of 24 players on their 2022 roster, the Mumbai Indians tried 21 different types of players over the season.
On the other hand, Arjun Tendulkar was unable to make the playing XI. Arjun is a left-arm fast bowler who has yet to achieve his lucrative league debut despite looking impressive in the nets.
Shane Bond: ‘He has a long way to go in terms of improvement.’
In a recent interview, Mumbai bowling coach Shane Bond explained what Arjun needs to do to make the starting XI.
“They must put in some effort; it is one thing to form a team, but it is quite another to form a starting XI in a team like Mumbai.”
“Trying everyone out for a game is one thing, but there’s a tight line to walk between providing everyone a game and having to earn your spot at this level.” Shane Bond added, “And he still needs to work on his batting and fielding in particular to secure a berth on the squad.”
Arjun completed his second season with the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League in 2022.
