BCCI Announces India’s Squad for the T20 World Cup, Jasprit Bumrah Returns
Now that the squad has been announced, it’s officially confirmed that Bumrah would lead the pace attack for India in the World Cup.

BCCI has announced India’s 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup. The tournament slated to commence in mid-October will take place in Australia. The biggest positive for the squad as perceived now is the return of Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel to the side. India missed the pace attack in the recent Asia Cup resulting in an early exit from the tournament.
The reports of Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel being back in shape and completely fit came a few days ago. And now that the squad has been announced, it’s officially confirmed that Bumrah would lead the pace attack for India in the World Cup. Moreover, Arshdeep Singh who delivered a brilliant performance in the Asia Cup has also made it into the World Cup squad.
The rest of the squad looks similar to that of the Asia Cup with Deepak Hooda, Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant who are ready to fly to Australia. Moreover, speculations about Ravindra Jadeja missing out have turned out true. Jadeja sustained a knee injury during the Asia Cup campaign and had to undergo a surgery following it.
The recovery is still in process, resulting in Jadeja’s omission from the team. Axar Patel is replacing Jadeja in the World Cup squad. Moreover, Mohammad Shami along with Ravi Bishnoi, Shreyas Iyer and Deepak Chahar will be on standby for the tournament.
