Elon Musk introduces a New Policy for Twitter Staff : Work 12 Hours a Day, Seven Days a Week
Elon Musk has introduced a new policy for Twitter employees a few days after purchasing the social media business. Twitter administrators have reportedly been instructed to work 12-hour shifts every day of the week. Before Musk took over, the employees at Twitter were asked to defend their work and the work of their teams and to explain why they were valuable to the business.

Employees appear to be paying a hefty price for the new working policy. According to information provided by CNBC sources, some of the Twitter engineers have been required to work 12 hours per day, seven days a week. Twitter’s managers have informed staff members that they will need to put in extra hours to fulfil Elon Musk’s strict deadline for improvements. According to internal correspondence, Twitter managers have ordered certain employees to perform 12-hour shifts, seven days a week, in order to meet Musk’s strict goals.

Elon Musk plans to increase the cost of the Twitter Blue subscription and alter the verification process for Blue tick users. Musk has reportedly given Twitter engineers this deadline to implement the premium verification function by November 7 or risk being fired. Other tasks may also have deadlines. Additionally, the Blue tick badge on twitter from now on will only be available with this subscription, a choice that has drawn strong criticism on Twitter due to its exorbitant price. Musk questioned people on Twitter if $8 (about Rs 660) for the subscription, which was originally planned to cost $19.99 (roughly Rs 1,600), would be reasonable.

Several individuals with director and vice president positions were terminated over the weekend, according to Twitter staff familiar with the situation. Over the weekend, other executives reportedly received requests to compile lists of team members who could be fired. A source with knowledge of the situation claims that senior members of the product teams were instructed to aim for a 50% workforce reduction. Tesla engineers and director-level employees evaluated the lists, the person claimed while requesting anonymity because they were discussing sensitive material.
Furthermore, according to the sources, layoff lists were created and ranked based on employees’ contributions to Twitter’s code while they were employed by the firm. Both Tesla employees and Twitter supervisors provided their opinions.
