The Hanging Pillar At Lepakshi, Andhra Pradesh

Being a significant historical site in India, Lepakshi is known for its architecture and painting. This temple is devoted to Lord Shiva and ows to its famous floating pillar.
Mystery: Well, among the 70 pillars at the site, one is hanging in mid-air. Amazingly it exists without support. The myth is people believe passing objects under the pillar gives prosperity to their lives.
The Mini Desert At Talakad, Karnataka

The desert is located on the banks of river Kaveri, in the Chamarajanagar district of Karnataka. There is a village buried deep in the sand. Talakad is believed to have been home to about 30 temples once, 5 of which are Lingams depicting the 5 faces of Lord Shiva.
Mystery: People believe that a widowed devotee of Lord Shiva had once cursed the land, after which the village turned into this strange desert and a mysterious place in India, where the river Kaveri mysteriously alters into a swirling whirlpool.
The Tale Of Twins At Kodinhi, Kerala

This place truly holds mystery. The ordinary village in Malappuram, Kerala is a witness large number of twin births. Kodinhi, or the ‘Village of Twins’, as it is now called, holds a prominent place among the mysterious places in India.
Mystery: So the bonus is you start seeing doubles of almost everyone once you step into this village. This place is currently home to over 200 pairs of twins and two sets of triplets. Further, Kodinhi’s women who are married outside the village also end up having twins or triplets. However, Doctors think that the reason for this strange happening lies in the chemicals in the water in the area.
Levitating Stone At Shivapur, Maharashtra

The Hazrat Qamar Ali Darvesh shrine is no unusual statue. The shrine is known for this one special rock that weighs 70 kg and can only be lifted by one means.
Mystery: Thus to lift the rock, 11 people are required to gather around it, touch it with their forefingers, and loudly call out the name of the saint who placed a curse on it. Then the stone rises in the air magically. The stone cannot be lifted by any other means, no matter how strong it is! It is thought that a Sufi saint called Qamar Ali placed a curse on this stone being used for bodybuilding about 800 years ago.
Isn’t it strange when thinking from the viewpoint of science? Well, even scientists could not solve these mysteries to date. Nevertheless, Indians should feel proud of being in a place where there are a lot of bizarre yet thrilling mystery lies.
