Mahua strikes PM Modi after he invokes Goddess Kali

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the Hindu goddess during a speech at an event hosted by the Ramakrishna Mission on Sunday, igniting a new wave of animosity between the TMC and BJP in the wake of Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra’s comments about a movie poster depicting Goddess Kali.

The Prime Minister essentially addressed the centennial celebrations of Swami Atmasthananda, the 15th president of Ramakrishna Math, saying that “the graces of Maa Kali are with the country, which is moving forward with a spiritual vitality for the good of the world.”

“One of these saints who have seen Maa Kali and committed his entire being and Maa Kali was Swami Ramakrishna Paramhansa.” He used to say that the consciousness of Goddess Kali pervades the entire earth. This consciousness may be demonstrated at the Kali Puja in Bengal. This consciousness may be found in the beliefs of the nation and Bengal.

“Whenever I had the option,” the prime minister remarked, “I traveled to the Dakhineshwar Kali shrine and Belur Math.” It is normal to feel a connection. Your convictions and faith will guide you in the correct route. Maa Kali’s unending offerings have always graced India. The nation is moving forward with this spiritual energy for the benefit of the entire world.

The BJP leaders used the Prime Minister’s invocation of Goddess Kali as an opening to criticise the Trinamool Congress and its MP Mahua Moitra.

“Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaks respectfully of Maa Kali as the epicentre of devotion for all of India, not just Bengal. Amit Malviya, the head of the BJP’s IT unit, tweeted, “On the other side, a TMC MP insults Maa Kali, and instead of taking action against her, (TMC chief) Mamata Banerjee defends her offensive representation of Maa Kali.

The TMC MP soon attacked the PM and Malviya. I would encourage Bengal’s BJP troll in charge to inform his bosses to cease making comments on subjects they are ignorant of. Didi-O-Didi secured their dismissal. According to Moitra’s tweet, “Maa-O-Maa will now put a foot on their breast,” alluding to the PM’s “Didi-O-Didi” jab at Mamata Banerjee during the campaign for the Assembly election last year.

Sougata Roy, a key TMC leader and MP, slammed the Prime Minister as well. “The Prime Minister is unaware about Kali Puja. He could have gone to Belur Math or Dakshineswar either once twice, but how would he have known about Kali puja? Mamata Banerjee practises Kali puja and keeps a Kali thakur at home. As a result, Roy observed, “The BJP would not teach us about Kali worship.

The PM was criticised for using religion, according to CPI(M) MP Bikash Bhattacharya. The Prime Minister ought to discuss the Constitution. Instead, he is referencing God while discussing a certain faith. The Prime Minister should reiterate the Constitution’s instruction to protect all major religions.

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the state Congress president, encouraged the prime minister to speak about people’s well instead of religion.” (Mamata Banerjee) The Chief Minister should really consider the welfare and well-being of the people.” Instead, both the PM and the CM speak Ram or Allah. As per the Congress MP, they’re unconcerned with the growth and well-being of the country.
