The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) yesterday with success disbursed the maiden flight of the indigenously developed unmanned craft at Chitradurga, Karnataka.
Operating in an exceedingly absolutely autonomous mode, the craft exhibited an ideal flight and a sleek touchdown, a politician announcement aforesaid.
The flight marked a {significant} milestone in proving crucial technologies towards development of future unmanned craft and could be a significant step towards self-direction in such strategic defence technologies, the statement said.
The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is meant and developed by the aeronautic Development institution (ADE), Bengaluru, a premier science laboratory of DRDO, the statement aforesaid.
It is high-powered by alittle turbojet engine. The framing, framing and whole control and astronautics systems used for the craft were indigenously developed, in step with the announcement.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated DRDO for its effort, aforesaid the statement.
It is a significant accomplishment towards autonomous craft and would pave the method for Atma Nirbhar Republic of India in terms of crucial military systems, Singh was quoted as speech communication.
