COVID-19 cases in India: In the last 24 hours, India recorded 10,256 new cases of the novel coronavirus. According to data released by the Union Health Ministry on Friday (August 26), the total recovery rate was around 98.61 percent, with a total recovery data of 4,37,70,913.
The total number of active COVID-19 cases in India has dropped to 90,707, according to data from the health ministry released today. There were 94,047 active cases registered yesterday.
Active cases:
In the past 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload has decreased by 3,340 cases. According to the ministry, active cases account for 0.20 percent of total infections.
The country’s total death toll is now 5,27,556. The first death from the COVID pandemic was reported in India in March 2020.
ICMR Testing:
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 88,43,39,045 samples were tested for COVID-19 as of August 25. On Thursday, 4,22,322 of these samples were tested.

COVID total in Delhi:
The city health department reported 702 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, with four people dying as a result of the disease. The state’s positivity rate was 4.49 percent. There were 959 cases and nine fatalities on Tuesday, with a positivity rate of 6.14 percent. On Monday, the city reported 625 cases and seven deaths, with a positivity rate of 9.27 percent. On Sunday, 942 cases were reported in Delhi, with a positivity rate of 7.25 percent.

According to the report, 381 of the 9,421 beds reserved for Covid patients in various Delhi hospitals are occupied. The city has 259 containment zones, according to the report. During the third wave of the pandemic, the number of daily Covid cases in Delhi reached a record high of 28,867 on January 13 this year. On January 14, the city had a positivity rate of 30.6 percent, the highest during the third wave.
