India reported 14,092 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours, indicating a slight increase in the number of Covid cases, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday.
With this, India’s active caseload has increased to 1,16,861, accounting for 0.26% of the country’s total positive cases.
According to the ministry’s data, India’s recovery rate is 98.54%, with 16,454 patients recovering in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 4,35,09,566.
According to the data, the weekly positivity rate in the country is currently at 4.57 percent, but the daily positivity rate is at 3.69 percent.
Furthermore, the health ministry reported that in the last 24 hours, a total of 3,81,861 COVID-19 tests were performed, bringing the total number of tests to more than 88.02 crores.
So far, 207.99 crore vaccine doses have been administered as part of the national vaccination drive.
COVID-19 vaccination for children aged 12 to 14 years old began on March 16, 2022, according to data. More than 3.97 crore adolescents have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine so far.
Similarly, COVID-19 precaution dose administration for the age group 18-59 years began on April 10, 2022.
More than 7.28 crore unutilized Covid vaccine doses remain with the states and UTs to be administered.
Furthermore, according to the ministry’s data, more than 199.01 crore vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs through the Government of India (free of cost channel) and the direct state procurement category.
