Drone Technology Will Take Agriculture to New Heights: PM Modi

Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022, India’s largest drone festival, was launched on Friday in Delhi’s Pragati Maidan by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the drone display area, he also interacted with Kisan drone operators and startups. During the event, PM Modi also digitally launched 150 remote pilot certificates.

PM Modi stated that people have had a fear of technology for years, which has hampered the country’s progress. However, since 2014, the country has experienced technological advancements.

“This festival is a celebration of the new administration in a new India, as well as unprecedented positivity toward new initiatives.” PM Modi added, “This was the period eight years ago when we began applying new mantras of good governance in India.”

He stated that “we are developing technology and making efforts to skill up technology.” Drones will aid in the improvement of various industries, including media, tourism, and defence, he noted.

PM Modi also used drone technology as an example of how it has aided him in overseeing the progress of projects because it is conveniently available.

“Technology has paved the path for government plans to be delivered to the last mile.” Drones would be used more in the defence industry and for disaster relief, he predicted.

Drone technology is also being employed in the Swamitva Yojana for digital land mapping, according to PM Modi.

He also talked how farmers are considering drone technology as a farming aid. “Drone technology is about to take our agriculture industry to the next level. Drones with smart technologies can be quite useful in this,” he remarked.

PM Modi also asked investors from all over the world to help develop drone technology, which he believes will benefit the average person.
