The entire world finds its eyes stuck on the date 12th June. Kim Jong-un and Trump are all set to meet on this date in Singapore.
They will meet or not, this is something they themselves don’t know; both the leaders want to prove themselves powerful than the other; both of them are furious dictators. No body can predict what and when will they do.
But yes, an interesting conversation that with time becomes bitter and at times even sweeter can be witnessed between the two, since long. Actually, America is adamant about turning the entire Korean peninsula into a non-nuclear region, as North Korea is openly demonstrating and increasing its nuclear activities since two years thereby threatening America.
Since the historic meeting has been announced, the two are seen with a comparative cooler and welcoming mindsets. North Korea had released 3 American citizens and had also destroyed the Nuclear Test Centre in Paggi showcasing its good intention. On the other hand, America also released a special coin and addressed Kim as “Supreme leader”. In response, Kim also promised to seize his nuclear weapons completely.
But then, it was Trump’s statement that asserted America to continue its pressure on North Korea, that derailed the conversation and made it to go in limbo. Responding aggressively to this, North Korea warned America that their peaceful behavior must not be mistaken by them and that N. Korea shall not cow down.
Following to this, on 11th May, after the joint millitary practices of South Korea and America, North Korea, with a bitter reaction, had cancelled its high-statured meet with South Korea, cascading a strong message to America.
American Defense Advisor, John Boston and American Vice President Mike Pence then asserted about accepting the Libyan Nuclear cancellation model along with North Korea and warned that if it doesn’t agrees for the deal with America then it shall have to suffer the same fate as Libya did. To this, North Korea, without bowing down, promptly announced that the historic meet is in limbo now! Infact, Kim had also dismissed Mike Pence statement addressing it to be “absurd”.
The most important event in the entire dramatic scenario was marked when Trump issued a letter in which he dismissed the meet blaming Kim’s aggressive nature and open hostility. And along with this, he also wrote that “If Kim prepares his mind then he shall not hesitate”, to which Kim came up with positive reactions and said, “We want to talk”! And, immediately, Trump also agreed to it.
The war of words between the two world leaders like Kim and Trump is historic and interesting in itself. There is no second thought in the fact that, after so many ups and downs, if ever this meet successfully happens then its result would be eyed eagerly by the entire world. But, seeing the manner in which a page of dialogues is continuously being added by Pyongyang and Washington in the historic move, the meet seems to be in grey clouds.
