However, any upcoming statement from country’s biggest organization RSS gathers headline and its different implications are analyzed. But this time from three day convention of RSS few unusual and new things came out. Head of the organization, Mohan Bhagwat kept the current notion of the organization on reservation, Hindutva, Hindu nation, Ram mandir and all those various topics because of which organization has been criticized. Of course, these are the issues around which the country’s politics roams. Political gain from these different sects is achieved by politicians. In this context, if you look, then Mohan Bhagwat’s two-pointed statements take the situation to some degree of ambiguity.
For instance, it is clear that what the current stand of the organization is, secondly, after these statements if there is a deviation in behavior then the question can be raised. But more important is that what new Mohan Bhagwat said. And through the rendering of these new ideas, what does the organization want to do?
Mohan Bhagwat, as contrary to his image and his old statements, claimed the politicization of reservation to be wrong but not the reservation. Also defined Hindutva and Hindu Nation. He said that Hindutva is the name given to accommodate. The day it will be said that there is no place for Muslims, that day the spirit of Hindutva will end. Even Bhagwat stated on his anti congress image too, he kept a completely different view from Modi’s Congress free India, that we are Indians who accommodate all, leaving none behind. Bhagwat also highlighted the contribution of Congress and said Congress played a vital role to build the nation.
He very beautifully presented theory of “Change is World’s Rule”, describing the change in old ideas as general and requirement of time, while addressing anti-muslim quotes mentioned in the ‘bunch of thoughts’ by former head of the organization, Golwalkar, that was also a commendable try to dismiss the organizations communal character. The organization chief rejected the established truth to have rule from Nagpur, over BJP.
The current thoughts of Mohan Bhagwat, presents a contradictory presumed strict image of him, from holding the position of the RSS chief since 2009, till giving all the various recent statements.
Are these changes really a natural change over time or the organization is on the path of transforming its hardcore communal image in a planned manner? Does the organization wants to groom its cultural image by removing itself from being BJP’S parent organization and wants to set itself up as a universal one? After the Narendra Modi, the organization has now gathered in the exercise of changing its image? If yes, then why, the answers to such obvious questions will take time to come.
