Politics gives birth to terrorism and according to its own ease it provides the land to feed on. The reality have came on the top through the recent provoking statement by Mehbooba Mufti, that to own the position she can push the youth of Kashmir on the path of terrorism. While threatening central ruling party BJP, Mehbooba Mufti gave a very irresponsible statement that “If Delhi tries to break the PDP the condition of Kashmir will be exceedingly dangerous than 1987 and in a similar manner in which a Salahuddin (or) a Yasin Malik came to the fore will happen again”
Loosing of the position, weakening of the political impact due to extreme violence in the strongest arena of the party south Kashmir and then the protest in the party against the Mufti, obviously Mehbooba is darting frantically. She is blackmailing in a same manner as NC and separatist parties in Kashmir have adopted earlier.
Even after knowing that likewise statements can worsen the situations in valley, and can pushed the already misguided youth towards the terrorism. Politicians like Mufti, just to avail profit in their politics are not even afraid of spilling the blood.
What’s the role of terrorism in the splitting of the PDP? If few MLA’s want to get apart from the party then what one can do?
In Jammu and Kashmir, the defection law is extremely strict as compare to other parts of the nation; over there MLA’s going away from the party will have to definitely lose the membership. Mehbooba who is showing concern about the Kashmiri’s right to vote, and who believes in the constitution of the country then why she didn’t found the solution of appealing to the court, if she really feels that centre is trying to break them apart.
How she can speak of promoting the terrorism so easily and shamelessly although even knowing that the wound of 1987 is still bleeding.
Situation in Kashmir is quite complex and in same Mehbooba have open old wounds by screaming the scenario of 1987, this have given the opportunity to the separatist who do not wish for peace in Kashmir. In this, central govt. should keep the coalition government apart from the plan and must think for the bigger approach and should not ignore the threats of Mehbooba. Because if Mehbooba have given this statement then her intentions must be questioned.
It is appropriate in this situation to create an environment of elections and form a democratic government as soon as possible.
