America has announced to pull out from the UNHRC. USA’s this decision has come ahead of the UN’s High Commissioner for Human Rights, Zeid bin Ra’ad Zeid al-Hussein’s statement in which he had condemned its decision on separating the migrant parents from their children. However, as the Trump-led government’s decision gained much criticism, it has been revoked so as to bring some changes in it by November. But, as far as the issue of UN’s split from the UNHRC is considered the decision remains not that much unexpected! The powerful nations of the world remain a member of such organizations only up till no eyebrows are raised against them. America, on the grounds of improvisations, has been announcing its threats since long. While splitting, America has supported Israel of political biasness and has also alleged that the organization doesn’t works according to its name. Even alleging China, Cuba and Venezuela, America raised a question as to why such nations, who themselves are violators of human rights, are still the members of the council. Earlier, Trump with no accountability, had also pulled out from Paris Climate Agreement, UNESCO and Iran Nuclear deal in exactly the same manner.
Now the question here is, why a nation who claims of safeguarding the Democratic Rights is continuously splitting from all such multi-lateral agreements one by one.
United Nations is also disappointed on USA’s pull out decision and opines America must have had intensified its involvement if it sensed an increase in human right violations. But, Trump government has taken many such decisions in the past which have been criticized a lot even by its indigenous people. Trump has abolished many decisions taken by the Obama government declaring them a “waste”. Also, it was in the Obama’s tenure, that USA had joined UNHRC. So, shall these decisions be taken as a mere outcome to abolish Obama’s decision and register his own competency? Whether the reason of the pull out remains in the issue of improvement, Israel’s support on political biasness or merely in opposing and revoking Obama’s decisions, but, a nation whose each step is greatly eyed by all, shall abstain itself from taking any decision based on presumptions so as to maintain the position that it enjoys today.
