Aashiqui 2 which was a super hit movie starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shradha Kapoor won everyone’s hearts with their chemistry, acting and even the songs of the movie are still evergreen. Recently Director Anurag Basu announced the comeback of Aashiqui 3 with Pritam on board as the music composer.
The movie will star the heartthrob of Bollywood Kartik Aryan. The Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt production are expected to go on floors by mid-2023. However, since the announcement, there has been continual gossip about the female lead. The team is on the lookout for a top-bracket actress to play the female lead in this musical love story.
According to pinkvilla, the team is in the process of locking the cast and also giving those final touches to the script. Music seating has also begun, as the idea is to create an album that’s remembered for ages to come.
Meanwhile, the team is considering three names at the moment: Deepika Padukone, Kriti Sanon, and Shraddha Kapoor.
However, reports are also suggesting the name of Jennifer Winget in Aashiqui 3.
The makers however said that there is no truth to any rumors relating to the female lead opposite Kartik Aaryan in Aashiqui 3. The search for the perfect fit for the movie is still ongoing.

Aashiqui 3 is expected to be a late 2023/early 2024 release on the big screen.
