This television commercial for Vim liquid wash was based on the typical Indian matrimonial setup, where the “earning and liberated” guy was under the harmful assumption that all his future wife was just destined to do was clean the dishes, and to impress the girl, he tries to offer some “help” in getting the dishes done. The lady grins at the guy and requests his independence in domestic responsibilities as well as the fact that she might be running late for work on certain occasions after their marriage.
