Manya Singh, from the small village of Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh, came in second place in the Femina Miss India 2020 competition.

Bigg Boss 16 has begun, and the fans are ecstatic about the new season. Ever since season 4, the show has had 15 successful seasons, with megastar Salman Khan hosting. Talking about Bigg Boss 16 the makers have brought the most controversial contestants inside the circus themed Bigg Boss 16 house. One of those contestants is Manya Singh.

Manya Singh, from the small village of Kushinagar in Uttar Pradesh, came in second place in the Femina Miss India 2020 competition. Since then, there has been no stopping her. After her victory, she revealed her early year’s struggles, as she came from a lower middle-class family where her father was a auto-rickshaw driver while her mother at a beauty parlour to make ends meet. She also talked about facing prejudice because of her appearance and poor English.

After being a runner up Famina Miss India, she opened about not getting any work for 2 years due to her colour of the skin. “was rejected because of my skin tone.” quoted Manya.

Manya opened up about her struggles in the showbiz industry and how she had no work even after winning the pageant during her interview with host Salman Khan. Her father still drives an auto rickshaw, and her mother takes local trains, according to the beauty queen. She stated that she worked for six years to become Miss India.

Manya explained to Salman that her parents didn’t want her to feel burdened with responsibilities, so they still live a simple life. Furthermore, Manya revealed that even after winning the pageant, she had no work for nearly two years. She was turned down due to her skin tone and other factors. “Miss India bannane ke baad zindagi badal jaati hai, par aisa nahi hota mera paas koi kaam nahi tha do saal tak Mujhe mere skin tone ke wajah se toh kabhi koi reason de bola gaya tumhe kaam mil sakta.”
Salman assured her that she would get good work in the future. Manya described how she still travels by auto rickshaw and has to call her father whenever she needs to go somewhere.
