One of the 16th season’s most well-liked participants, Sumbul Touqeer Khan, recently beat the internet with her ‘women empowerment rap’ song. Although it’s been only a few days since BB16 kick started, the Imlie actress, has already created a fan base with her real and innocent side. Sumbul is definitely one of the strongest contestants in the house and enjoys the tag of being ‘the highest paid’ contestant in the history of the Big Boss show.
In one of the recent episodes of Big Boss Season 16, Sumbul Touqeer Khan showed her rapping talent and left the housemates and the netizens teary eyed. Sumbul performed a rap written by her father on ‘women empowerment’. The lyrics of the rap song spoke about the harsh realities that still exist in some parts of the country where the birth of a girl is not seen as one of the happy occasions. Sumbul expressed how being born a girl is one of the biggest hurdles and how sometimes a girl is killed in the womb or is thrown in the trash cans right after being born.
The lyrics and the manner in which Sumbul delivered the song moved the roommates, including well-known rapper MC Stan, who stood up and applauded Sumbul. She received immense praise from the netizens for her powerful rap. A user posted a tweet that read, “Your rap touched upon a critical issue of society. And now this shows Gender Equality – how strong a girl can be physically too. 18 years old picking up 85kg, that’s fire.” Another user posted a tweet that read, “She owned the ep with this one among all the baseless fights. Her father’s rap it was. Girl flaunting what is necessary to be flaunted so proudly. It was so good!”

In Wednesday’s episode, Sumbul was seen crying over the fact that everyone in the house addresses her like a young girl who is not aware of the show’s tactics and how it is played.
