Sivakarthikeyan Faces a Brutal Backlash for his Derogatory Comments Towards Korean People: ‘It looks like all the actors in Korean films are the same’

A noted Tamil actor, Sivakarthikeyan, who played iconic roles in super-hit movies like Romeo and the Doctor, is currently facing a brutal backlash on social media by netizens for his derogatory comments on Korean people.

The superstar of the Tamil Film Industry enjoys a huge fan-base and is well known for his humour and spontaneity when surrounded by fans. But this time, his humour went a little too far and landed him in a mess.

While addressing the children at a school event, Sivakarthikeyan shared one of his BTS moments with the crowd. While talking about a comedy scene in his latest movie Don, where Sivakarthikeyan and Soori start talking in a gibberish language making it sound like ‘Korean’. The leading actor of Don poked fun at the Korean language. The actor even went ahead and recreated the comedy scene with Soori.

Once the video was released on various social media platforms, the audience revolted against the prominent star of the Tamil film industry for his controversial and insensitive remark against the Korean people. The star is being bashed by netizens for making such racist comments in front of school children who are at a tender age.

The racist comments of the Tamil film star didn’t stop here. He further ridiculed the Korean community in front of the crowd and added “Whenever I see Korean films, I feel like all the actors are the same. Sometimes it’s hard to tell the heroes from the heroines.”

Sivakarthikeyan’s humorous speech triggered a brutal backlash on social media.

In response to Sivakarthikeyan’s racist remarks, a user took to his Twitter account and wrote “These so-called stars should do a crash course and attend special sensitisation workshops.”

While the other user slammed the racist remark and wrote, “This man is really toxic in all his movies and whatever he represents (stalking, backward ideologies, racism, body shaming jokes) Such people are putting Tamil cinema back by 100 years! Shameful.”

The remarks made by the superstar of the Tamil film industry didn’t go down well with the netizens on social media. A humorous stunt of commenting on the appearance of the Korean people has certainly dragged the film star into an inevitable mess.
