Rishabh Pant slams Urvashi Rautela, writes ‘sad how some people are so thirsty for fame’

Rishabh Pant reportedly deleted his Instagram story in less than 10 minutes, but as social media users are aware, that time was enough for the screenshots to go viral. While there is no confirmation that Pant actually posted the story, the screenshot that has gone viral reads: “It’s funny how people lie in interviews just for some meagre popularity and to hit the headlines.” It’s sad how some people crave fame and recognition. “merapichachorhoBehen #Jhutkibhilimithotihai,” may God bless them. According to multiple social media users, the story was inspired by bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela’s recent interview, in which she mentioned a man named “Mr RP.”

“I was shooting in Varanasi, but I had a show in New Delhi, so I took a flight to New Delhi. (I had a show in New Delhi and had to fly from Varanasi.) I was shooting all day in New Delhi, and when I got back after about 10 hours of shooting, I had to get ready, and you know how much time girls take to get ready. Mr. RP arrived, sat in the lobby, and asked to meet with me. Main itni tired thi, main so gayi (I was so tired that I dozed off), and I didn’t realise how many calls I had received “In an interview with news portal.

“So, when I woke up, I saw 16-17 missed calls and then I felt so bad. That, someone, was waiting for me and I didn’t go. Out of respect, because a lot of girls don’t care about making someone wait, out of that show of respect, I told him that let’s meet when you’ll come to Mumbai,” she added.

While Rautela did not directly name anyone, netizens were convinced that the ‘Mr RP’ in her story was India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant.

Notably, Rishabh Pant and Urvashi Rautela have previously been linked. There have been numerous unconfirmed reports that the cricketer and the actress are in contact.

Pant recently returned to India following a successful tour of the West Indies, where India won 3-0 in ODIs and 4-1 in T20Is. The left-hander did not play in the ODIs but was present for the five-match T20I series. Pant’s next appearance will be in the Asia Cup, which begins on August 27 in the United Arab Emirates. India, on the other hand, kicks off their campaign a day later in Dubai against archrivals Pakistan.
