Rahul Dev Adds a Different Angle to Nepotism in Bollywood, Says ‘Can’t Generalize an Artist’s Hard Work.”
Rahul Dev added a new and unexplored vision to the Nepotism culture of Bollywood.

Indian actor and former model, Rahul Dev has worked in the film industry as well as TV shows for decades. The actor has worked in TV shows and movies in various languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. The 53-year-old actor made his acting debut with his movie Champion in the year 2000. The villainous role that Rahul played in the movie also got him nominated for the Filmfare Best Villain Award.
The Bollywood actor also appeared in the Bhojpuri movie titled Dulhan Chahi Pakistan se 2 which was released in the year 2018. Rahul made his debut in the TV industry with the mythological TV show titled ‘Devon Ke Dev..Mahadev’. Apart from his acting career, Rahul has also been a part of a reality show with the highest TRP, Big boss, season 10, hosted by the Bollywood star, Salman Khan. The veteran actor has also claimed some phenomenal achievements under his name, including the Zee Cine best villain Award in the year 2011 for his movie Footpath.
The ‘fittest’ antagonist of the Bollywood Industry recently opened up about the Nepotism culture of Bollywood in one of his interviews. Rahul Dev added a new and unexplored vision to the Nepotism culture of Bollywood and mentioned that he cannot really generalize the hard work of an artist and take everyone coming from the entertainment background under one umbrella.
The veteran actor further shared his contradictory view on Nepotism and said, “I don’t think being from the film industry or Bollywood background can bring you anywhere. Yes, I agree that it has its own advantages. But if you sit down and sincerely look at the stories of the legendary superstars who have dominated the Bollywood Industry for decades, they are actually the ‘outsiders’.”
The big boss season 12 star contestant further mentioned how the legendary actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Vinod Khanna, Dharmendra, Shatrughan Sinha, the three legendary Khans of Bollywood and Rajesh Khanna, stepped into the realms of bollywood without having any god father and still were able to leave a mark on the history of Indian cinema.
“These legendary actors who have left a mark on Indian Cinema with their versatile acting are all outsiders. So I cannot really generalize anything,” the actor added.
Rahul Dev is currently gearing up for his upcoming Bollywood project, which will be a horror movie by Vikram Bhatt’s daughter Krishna Bhatt. The movie will be a sequel to 1920
