On Wednesday, Netflix released the trailer for season 3 of ‘Never Have I Ever,’ teasing the ups and downs that the new couple will face now that Devi Vishwakumar and Paxton Hall-Yoshida are officially dating. They posted a trailer video with a caption to their official Twitter account. They stated, “Devi and the gang have returned! Season 3 of Never Have I Ever premieres on August 12!” Paxton and Devi take their romance to the next level with steamy makeup sessions galore throughout the teaser, but not without a few bumps in the road – whether they’re amusing moments like Devi’s shirt getting caught on her head as she tries to take it off, or the mounting pressure of everyone’s eyes on her, as per People.
Devi asks her friends before another clip of her and Paxton highlights the insecurities in their relationship. “It’s believable that we’re together, right?”In the trailer Paxton confesses to Devi that he likes her. He said, “I like you.” In response, Devi stated, “Yeah, but why? No one else thinks we make any sense.”
Paxton corrects her, “No, you don’t think we make any sense.” The trailer features several chaotic and tender moments, true to Mindy Kaling’s creativity, but the adage “be careful what you thirst for” rings true, as it not only shows Devi and Ben Gross’ (Jaren Lewison) ever-present bond, but also a potential new romantic interest that could throw off the already imbalanced dynamic of the love triangle.
“That’s so hot,” says Devi’s cousin Kamala Nandiwadal (Richa Moorjani) as the teen’s mom Dr. Nalini Vishwakumar (Poorna Jagannathan) agrees. “Extremely hot!”
“Let’s see what the human body can do, baby!” Devi exclaims as the trailer concludes. Never Have I Ever was renewed for two more seasons in March, with the fourth season wrapping up the Netflix series’ run in 2023. One month later, Kaling explained why she believes the show should end after four seasons.
“Four seasons for a high school show felt like it made sense,” Kaling said in an April interview. “They can’t stay in high school indefinitely. We’ve seen those shows before. As an example, you’ve been in high school for 12 years. What exactly is going on here?”
“Also, as the actor’s age, it looks insane that a 34-year-old is playing a 15-year-old,” she added. According to People, Netflix Head of Global TV Bela Bajaria stated at the time of the news announcement that the streamer is “thrilled” about the comedy-final drama’s two chapters. “We’re ecstatic to have two more seasons of Never Have I Ever.” It’s everything we’re looking for in a Netflix comedy series: authentic, specific, funny, and heartfelt. I love how a story about a young Indian-American girl touches on so many universal truths that almost everyone can relate to.” ” We will be eternally grateful to Mindy, Lang, and the incredible cast. And we can’t wait for everyone to see the finished product.
