Late Comedian Raju Srivastav’s Last Post on Social Media is Making a Million Hearts Cry
The man who made an entire nation laugh with his witty humour and popularized the concept of ‘stand-up comedy’ in India, breathed his last on September 21.

Actor-Comedian Raju Srivastav passed away on Wednesday, 21 September 2022. The comedian suffered a major cardiac arrest while working out in the gym. He was immediately rushed to Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on August 10. The 58-year-old comedian battled for 40 days before breathing his last on Wednesday.
Srivastav complained of an acute chest pain before he collapsed in the gym while working out. His gym trainer immediately rushed Srivastav to the hospital where he was immediately given CPR twice to resuscitate his heart. He underwent an angioplasty on the same day. The comedian’s condition kept deteriorating for the first two weeks. He was put on the ventilator.
According to the doctor’s team of AIIMS, the comedian had at one point stopped responding to medical treatment. There were many rumours of Raju Srivastav being declared ‘brain dead’ by the doctors of AIIMS. Battling all the odds, Raju Srivastav regained consciousness on September 1.

After the tragic and untimely death of the actor-comedian Raju Srivastav, his last video went viral. Almost three months ago, the comedian had posted a video on his official Instagram account on August 9, a day before he suffered the massive cardiac arrest.
In the video that he shared; the comedian was seen cracking witty jokes on the caller tune used during the corona period. Raju Srivastav tried to mimic Shashi Kapoor, in an attempt to impersonate how Shashi Kapoor would have recorded the government’s precautionary caller tune. In the same video, the comedian also goes on to mimic Vinod Khanna.
As the entire nation mourns the unfortunate loss of one of the greatest Indian comedians, the viral video makes sure that the comedian continues to make his people laugh, even from the heavens above.
The comedian Is survived by his wife, Shikha Srivastav, and two children, Aayushmaan Srivastav and Antra Srivastav. The cremation rites of the comedian will be held at Nigambodh Ghat, Delhi at 9:30 pm, today, i.e., September 22, 2022.
