The Amazon original scripted animated series comes from Critical Role, which created a hugely popular Dungeons & Dragons Twitch stream. This resulted in the creation of an adult animated fantasy series, which was funded through a Kickstarter campaign. The story follows the seven-member Vox Machina team as they play Level 7 of D&D to avenge the murder of the ruler of a town called Whitestone.
