FIR filed against singer Rahul Jain for allegedly raping costume stylist, he denies allegations
An FIR has been filed against singer Rahul Jain for allegedly raping a costume stylist, which he denies.

Rahul Jain, a Bollywood singer and composer, has been charged with a felony. According to the report, Rahul raped a 30-year-old costume designer in his Mumbai flat. However, Rahul has denied all allegations, calling them “baseless.” The statement was taken down at the police station in Oshiwara. The costume designer claims Jain messaged her on Instagram and praised her work. He allegedly later invited her to his Mumbai flat in Andheri.
According to PTI, the costume designer allegedly paid a visit to Rahul Jain’s apartment on August 11. He then allegedly took her to the bedroom under the guise of showing her his wardrobe, where he allegedly raped her. The woman is a freelance costume stylist, according to police.
The woman also claimed that he assaulted her and attempted to destroy all evidence when she resisted him. According to the official, the police registered the FIR against Jain under sections 376 (Punishment for rape), 323 (Punishment for voluntary causing hurt), and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
So far, no arrests have been made. Rahul Jain stated in his statement that he has no idea who she is and that all of the allegations are ‘false’ and ‘baseless. He told PTI, “I don’t know this woman. The allegations raised by her are fake and baseless. Earlier, also a woman had made similar allegations against me but I got justice. This woman may be an associate of that woman”.
In October last year, a Bollywood lyricist-writer had accused him of cheating, rape and forcible abortion.
