The promo of the show was released by Colors TV on their official Instagram handle on September 11. The promo unveiled the host, Salman Khan, and waved off a lot of buzz around the show. The first promo of the controversial show had glimpses of some of the star contestants of the show, including Hina Khan, Siddharth Shuka and Shehnaaz Gill. The promo spilled beans about the new format. The host of the show, Salman Khan, was heard saying that, so far, the contestants of the show have played their game, but with the upcoming season of Big Boss, it’s time for Big Boss to play the master stroke.

Before the promo was released, there was quite a lot of speculation about Salman Khan hosting the show. There was a strong buzz about Rohit Shetty replacing the legendary host, Salman Khan from the reality show, Big Boss. Rohit Shetty has been on the show many times. The audience loved the Khatron Ke Khiladi host for his on-screen appearance in Big Boss 13, when he entered the house to solve the dispute between Siddharth Shukla and Asim Riaz. The director of Simba has made so many appearances on Colors TV’s controversial reality show Bigg Boss that it was quite easy for the audience to believe that Shetty might step into the shoes of a Big Boss host.

In the latest press conference scheduled on Tuesday evening, the host of the show, Salman Khan, addressed all the rumours about Big Boss and made it clear that he is not going to quit being the host of Colors TV’s controversial reality show Bigg Boss. When the media questioned the Bollywood star about Rohit Shetty replacing him as the host of Big Boss, the actor took the question quite sportingly and responded “The makers of the show have no other option than taking me as the host.

The Dabangg star of the Bollywood industry also spoke about other rumours, including a claim that the makers are paying Rs1000 crore to Salman Khan for hosting the 16th season of Big Boss. Responding to the buzz around a mammoth fee, the star laughed and responded “If I was getting paid that amount, I don’t think you would ever see me working again.” The star also added “I am not getting paid even one-fourth of the rumoured amount.”

The media was quite brave to question the tiger about what keeps him getting back to the stage of Big Boss even after admitting that the show is quite irritating and exhausting to host. Responding to the question, Salman Khan replied “I get to learn a lot from the show. I love pulling people back on track whenever they go wrong. I will bully the ones who are bullying and I will protect the ones who are being bullied.

The 16th season of the show is all set to premier on Saturday, October 1. Salman Khan has already introduced Tazakistan performer Abdu Rozik as the first confirmed contestant to enter the aqua-themed big boss house.
