Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan marriage: Shah Rukh Khan, Rajinikanth and other big stars attend wedding, see first guest photos!
In a modest wedding on June 9, 2022, the lovely South actress Nayanthara and her longtime beau Vignesh Shivan wedded. Their wedding was attended by family members, close friends, and celebrities from the entertainment business, including megastar Rajinikanth, Shah Rukh Khan, and filmmaker Atlee, among others.
Ahead of their wedding on Thursday, director Vignesh Shivan has penned a heartfelt note for fiancee and actor Nayanthara. Shivan, 36, and Nayanthara, 37, reportedly have been dating for nearly seven years.
In an Instagram post, the film-maker dedicated their wedding day to his ‘Thangamey’ (beloved), a term of endearment which draws its inspiration from the title of the song of their first film “Naanum Rowdy Dhaan” (2015).
“Today is June 9th and it’s Nayan’s thanking God, the universe, the Good will from all the lovely human beings who have crossed My life!! Every good soul, every good moment, every good coincidence, every good blessing, everyday at shooting and every prayer that has made life this beautiful!
“I owe it all to the good manifestations & prayers! Now, It’s all dedicated to the love of my life! #Nayanthara! My #Thangamey! Excited to see u walking up the aisle in a few hours! (sic)” Shivan wrote alongside a picture with Nayanthara.
The South couple’s glittering wedding rituals were performed in the presence of the family. According to IANS, the groom Vignesh tied the sacred ‘Thali’ around actress Nayanthara’s neck at around 10.24 am. today and guests blessed the couple. Atlee Kumar shared a picture of him with Shah Rukh Khan and Pooja Dadlani which has now gone viral.
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, who worked with her in the films like Chandramukhi and Darbar, too was spotted at the wedding venue. He wore his trademark outfit – white kurta and pyjama.
Maverick filmmaker Mani Ratnam, Boney Kapoor, Karti, AL Vijay, Divyadarshini, Sarath Kumar with his wife Radikaa, Archana Kalpathi, Sivakarthikeyan, Malayalam actor Dilip and many others were entering the venue.
Further, Vijay Sethupathi, Samantha, Vijay, Ajith, Mahesh Babu, Junior NTR and a host of big names are expected to grace the wedding and reception.
The entire marriage proceedings have been sold to streaming giant Netflix. Hence, photos and videos inside the venue will not be available.
To make their wedding special, there are feeding poor kids at various places in Chennai.
Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan had earlier planned to tie the knot in Tirupati, but due to multiple reasons, they had to cancel it.
