Today, the country marks the 23rd anniversary of the Kargil War. The Kargil Vijay Diwas holiday is observed annually on July 26 to honour India’s declaration of victory in the Kargil War on that date in 1999. Bollywood also follows suit when it comes to honouring the fallen soldiers. India’s population has long relied heavily on Bollywood to promote patriotism. The entertainment industry frequently produces films based on actual Indian freedom battles and significant historical events. - Ajay Devgn in LOC: Kargil

The Kargil War is the subject of the movie LOC: Kargil. JP Dutta, under the enormous umbrellas of JP Films, is both the producer and the director of it. The movie, which is directed by Sharan Sharma, stars Janhvi Kapoor, Angad Bedi, and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal parts. It portrayed the life of Indian Air Force pilot Gunjan Saxena, who was the country’s first female fighter pilot and played a significant role in India’s victory in the Kargil War.
The Indian armed forces had defeated Pakistan on July 26, 1999. Since then, the day is observed as ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas’ to rekindle the pride and valour of the soldiers who took part in Operation Vijay.
