Karanvir Bohra booked for allegedly duping woman of Rs 1.99 crore

The Oshiwara police department recently filed a FIR charging actor Karanvir Bohra and two others with defrauding a woman of Rs 1.99 crore by promising her high returns on her investment.
On Monday night, a FIR was filed against the actor under IPC sections 420 (cheating) and 34 (act done with common intention). The complainant is a 40-year-old woman who owns a clothing store and lives in the Oshiwara police jurisdiction.
In 2019, the actor and the complaint met and became friends. One of his films was about to be launched at the moment, and he had borrowed Rs 33 lakh from her. Later that year, he used banking transactions to take the remaining funds from her.
According to the authorities, the actor returned some of the money to the woman but refused to repay the rest and thereafter stopped communicating with her. The woman approached the police after months of pursuing the problem with the star and his family members.
“The actor has been booked along with two of his relatives. A police officer from the Oshiwara police station said, “He took Rs 1.99 crore from the complainant.” The Indian Express attempted to contact Bohra on Wednesday, but his phone line was disconnected. The actor did not respond to a WhatsApp call, text message, or WhatsApp message.
Karanvir Bohra was recently seen in Kangana Ranaut’s reality show, Lock Upp where he confessed that he was in debt and would’ve committed suicide if he didn’t have a family. He also said that he had 3-4 cases filed against him for non-payment of dues.
