Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have tied the knot! According to the marriage licence obtained by HollywoodLife, the famous couple married on July 16 in Clark County, Nevada. The couple married in Las Vegas after obtaining a marriage licence, according to TMZ.
Jennifer and Ben’s love story is endearing. They first met on the set of their 2003 film Gigli, which was released in 2001. Jennifer was married to Cris Judd when the filming began, but the couple divorced in 2003. Ben and Jennifer announced their engagement in 2002, and they married in November of that year. They did, however, divorce in January 2004.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben’s Las Vegas wedding was all about love, laughter and fun. Sharing a note about their wedding via People, Jennifer said, “Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient. Exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.”
The actress further revealed that her wedding dress is old and they chose a jacket from Ben’s closet. She called her wedding the ‘best possible wedding we could have imagined’. She wrote in her newsletter, “They even had Bluetooth for a (short) march down the aisle. But in the end, it was the best possible wedding we could have imagined. One we dreamed of long ago and one made real (in the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible and one another) at very, very long last.”
Fans soon commented on the pictures and sent their best wishes to the newly married couple.
Jennifer Lopez officially changed her name to Jennife Lynn Affleck after her wedding. She shared a note and announced the same on social media.
