India’s most controversial reality show, Big Boss, is back with a new sensational season. BB16 premiered on October 1 on ColorsTV. The first contestant of the show, Abdul Rozik, was already introduced by the host of the show, Salman Khan, a couple of days back. During the premier, Salman Khan introduced and welcomed the remaining contestants of the controversial show.
According to the sources, the lead actress of the show Imli, Sumbul Touqeer, is the highest paid contestant in the history of Big Boss. The 19-year-old actress left behind the ace contestants of the previous seasons, including Tejaswi Prakash, Karan Kundrra, Hina Khan, Siddharth Shukla and Shehnaaz Gill.
Sumbul Touqeer rose to fame at quite an early age with her show, Imlie on Star Plus. After the first episode of Big Boss season 16 premiered, the netizens declared Sumbul Touqeer as one of the finalists. The actress has clearly impressed the audience with her charm and simplicity.
The 19-year-old actress is the youngest contestant on the show this season. According to the sources, the makers of the show have offered a whopping lakh per week to the dusky beauty for being a part of Big Boss 16. With a weekly pay of Rs 12 Lakh, the Imli actress surpassed Tejaswi Prakash and Karan Kundrra who charged Rs 11 Lakh and Rs 8 Lakh per week during the last season of Big Boss.
Although one of the most controversial shows on television, Big Boss, has often turned the tables around for people who were not too popular in the show buzz, the Imli actress is expected to raise the bar higher for her fellow contestants on the show.
The actress made her debut in the Bollywood industry with Aayushman Khurrana’s movie Article 15. Apart from her Bollywood projects, Sambul has also appeared in multiple television shows, including Chandragupta Maurya, Vaaris, Isharon Isharon and Jodha Akbar. The actress has also participated in television reality shows like DID Little Masters. With her debut in India’s biggest controversial show, the actress would surely catch some more eyeballs!
