Siddharth Malhotra is all set to kick start his shoot for Karan Johar’s first aerial action movie ‘Yoddha’. The movie is all set to hit the big screens on 11 November, this year. The movie is directed by the iconic duo; Sagar Ambre and Pushkar. It will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma productions.
Siddharth Malhotra kick started his career with Karan Johar’s Student of the year. The actor made the tables turn in his favour with all the hard work that he has put into his work over all these years. It has been almost a decade of him ruling the industry and a million hearts. He has delivered some memorable movies, including Kapoor & sons, Marjaavan, Brothers, Ek Villain and most importantly, Shershah; which is one of his best performances as an actor till date.
The actor recently took to his Instagram account and posted a story with mesmerising views of Kullu. He posted a string of pictures updating his fans about the commencement of his shooting schedule for ‘Yoddha’.
The first picture in the string was a glimpse of the film’s clapboard. In the next Instagram story, the actor could be seen getting ready to shoot a scene for the movie. He posted the picture with a caption saying ‘Yoddha begins’ on Friday.
The actress Disha Patani also took to her official account on Instagram and wrote “Super glad to join this action-packed journey! I’m ready for take-off guys, let’s go!” the second lead actress of the movie, Rashi Khanna, also took to her official Instagram account on social media and wrote a note that read “I am extremely honoured & excited to announce that I will be joining team #Yodha!”
According to the sources, the actors have already shot most of the important scenes of the movie in the last year. The makers of the movie revealed the names of Disha Patani and Rashi Khanna, the female leads of the movie, in December. Disha Patani in one of her recent interviews spoke about wrapping up the shooting of her part.
Reports suggest that the movie is based on the biggest action taken by India against Pakistan. Siddharth Malhotra is playing the lead role of a RAW agent in the movie. However, there is no official confirmation by the makers about the plot of the story, as of now.
Siddharth Malhotra, who was last seen on-screen in the movie Shershaah playing the role of Captain Vikram Batra, has a couple of movies lined-up for release, including, Mission Majnu and Thank God. We truly believe Sidharth Malhotra has conquered the peaks with the movie Shershaah and now, with Yoddha, it’s time for the sky!
