Pooja Hegde to Helly Shah; List of Indian celebs making debut at 75th Cannes Film Festival
The 75th Cannes festival has started on May 17th. This year, India was announced as the official ‘country of honour’ at the Marche’ Du Films also called Cannes Film Market, which is held on the sidelines of the Cannes Film Festival. With the special honour, many Indian celebs will be seen walking the red carpet of Cannes 2022 for the first time ever. Earlier, Aishwarya Rai, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and Hina Khan among others have already made our country proud by representing India at Cannes Film Festival.
Here are the names of some celebrities from Bollywood as well as the Television industry who will be seen making their way this year.
1. Pooja Hegde

Pooja Hegde made her debut at Cannes Film Festival 2022 as she walked down the red carpet yesterday and grabbed the limelight. On day 2, for the film festival, the actress went for a classy look and defined elegance in a midi floral dress that came with a long trail. Pooja looked beautiful head to toe in white with a subtle hairstyle and makeup.
Pooja Hegde accessoried the look with golden hoop earrings and went for glossy makeup with pink lipstick and shimmery eyeshadow. Clad in Hondya brand outfit, jewellery is by Misho Design and MUA is done by Kajol Mulani. Everything about her look is just perfect and we totally loved it.
2. Helly Shah
Helly Shah, who is known for her work in shows like- Swaragini, Ishq Main Marjawan 2, Devanshi, and Ishq Mera Sufiyana walked the red carpet of Cannes 2022 for the first time. The poster of Helly’s film Kaya Palat was unveiled during the Cannes Film Festival. In the same, she was seen alongside the writer, producer and actor of the film Rahat Kazmi and actor Tariq Khan.
3. R Madhavan
Actor R Madhavan will be walking on the red carpet of Cannes 2022. He will attend the premier of Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, a biographical drama film based on the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation. The film is produced by Madhavan and was showcased on May 19.
4. Kamal Haasan and AR Rahman look dapper at Cannes 2022
AR Rahman has been quite active on Instagram for the past few days. Recently, he shared a picture with his wife, Saira Banu, who is also the co-writer of the musician’s directorial venture, Le Musk. Now, AR Rahman has dropped a legendary picture with Kamal Haasan on his page. The two stars can be seen posing for the photo from Cannes.
5. Nawazudddin Siddique
The versatility king, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s talent has set a benchmark for the actors to achieve while leaving the masses buzzing about the same. Being a perfect blend of talent with destiny, the actor will be again seen at the Cannes 2022 on the occasion of his birthday.
The actor attended the event as an Indian delegate to receive an honor for the country that he was seen sharing on his social media too. Having seen such a wonderful co-occurrence, we can only say that this is the best gift one can ever ask for!
6. Tammana Bhatia
Popular Bahubali fame actress was also a part of India’s delegation to Cannes.
Joining the league of fashionistas on the red carpet, the Baahubali actor’s look grabbed eyeballs. She stunned her fans in an all-black glittery sequined gown, which had a risqué thigh-high slit. The star flaunted bling as she wore a stunning cape to complete the look.
India will also showcase five movies at the ‘Goes to Cannes Section’. At the movie gala, a brand new restoration of master filmmaker Satyajit Ray’s rare movie “Pratidwandi” will also be presented in an exclusive screening. This year’s Cannes Film Festival 2022 will take place from May 17 to May 26.
