‘Dhaakad’ Clashes on Box Office on Day 1 of its opening

Dhaakad, Kangana Ranaut’s long-awaited film, was released on May 20, 2022. Kangana Ranaut took on the role of Agent Agni, who battles Arjun Rampal’s Rudraveer in the film. The film included large-scale action sequences in which Kangana does risky acts with firearms.

The film is hailed as India’s first female spy thriller and is one of the country’s larger-scale films with a female lead. While there was a lot of talk about the film, the excitement did not translate to the box office, as the actioner opened to underwhelming numbers.

The Kangana Ranaut starrer got off to a slow start at the box office and opened to a dull response. Early estimates, according to Sacnilk, suggest that Dhaakad performed poorly on its opening day at the box office, grossing roughly Rs 1.20 crore in India net.

Despite its intriguing plot, the film failed to draw large crowds to the theatres. On Friday, May 20, 2022, it had a 7.71 percent Hindi occupancy rate. Furthermore, it is also receiving a tough fight from the horror comedy flick Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani.

The film also stars Divya Dutta and Arjun Rampal, in addition to Kangana Ranaut. Rudraveer, played by Arjun Rampal, is the film’s main antagonist. Kangana Ranaut performed some high-voltage stunts in the film as she is on a mission to bust Asia’s largest human trafficking syndicate and must overcome every impediment in her way. Razneesh Ghai directed the film, which is distributed by Zee Studios. Under the names of Soham Rockstar Entertainment, Sohel Maklai Productions, and Asylum Films, Deepak Mukut and Sohel Mukut have co-financed the film.
