The most controversial show of colors TV has already started making headlines before the premiere. The first season of Big Boss was released in 2006 and was hosted by the Bollywood actor, Arshad Warsi. Subsequently, many other iconic Bollywood personalities have hosted the show including, Shilpa Shetty, Amitabh Bachchan, Farah Khan and Sanjay Dutt.
As per the reports, there were strong indications that filmmaker Rohit Shetty might replace Salman Khan as the host of the show. But with the launch of the show’s first promo, Salman Khan has been confirmed to host the 16th season of Big Boss (Hindi), there’s still a lot of buzz around the tentative list of contestants. As the date of premiere is arriving, more names of contestants are being added to the tentative list. There are many celebrities, including Munawar Faruqui, Jannat Zubair, Mr Faisu, Shivangi Joshi, Shivin Narang, Kanika Mann and many more.
Every season of Big Boss has been associated with ugly spats and controversial love angles. From Dolly Bindra’s ‘Baap pe Jaana Nai” to an episode where the self-proclaimed godman, Swami Om spilled urine on his fellow contestants, there have been so many bizarre incidents in the history of Big Boss.
The makers of Big Boss have always managed to come up with a new twist in every season. The upcoming 16th season sets the bar higher. The latest promo of the show showed glimpses of the star contestants of Big Boss including, Hina Khan, Siddharth Shuka and Shehnaaz Gill. During the promo, the host of the show, Salman Khan, was heard saying “The contestants have shown their game for 15 years but now it’s time for Big Boss to show his game.”
The promo has accelerated the hopes of viewers. The makers are definitely planning for something that has never been witnessed in the history of Big Boss, ever before. The tentative list of contestants includes the most controversial celebrities, including Munawar Faruqui.
Munawar Faruqui is known for creating controversial headlines for his dark and unfiltered humour. Faruqui, who also appeared in Kangana Ranaut’s show Lock Upp, which had a similar concept to Big Boss. The stand-up comedian came out as a really strong and unabashed contestant and won the trophy with his controversial yet honest secrets.
Another controversial name that is being linked with the upcoming season of Big Boss, is Faisal Shaikh, popularly known as Mr. Faisu. Faisal Shaikh, who rose to fame overnight after his videos on tik tok went viral. The influencer later started making reels on Instagram when tik tok got banned in India. Mr Faisu has a fan base of millions on social media but has haters in equal numbers, as well. It will be quite a ride to see how the controversial social media influencer manages to stay inside the house for so long.
As per the reports, the upcoming season of Big Boss promises to be spicier and juicier than all the previous seasons. Colors TV also telecasted a promo recently, where Salman Khan sarcastically mentioned that the only rule of the Big Boss house this season is that there’s no rule – at all! While Salman Khan has already introduced Tazakistan performer Abdu Rozik as the first confirmed contestant of the upcoming season 16, there’s no confirmation on any other contestant’s name, neither the host nor the makers of the show. The most controversial reality show on television, Big Boss season 16, is all set to be aired on Saturday, October 1.
